Luisa Gamboa is a U.S. and Colombian lawyer and Founding Partner of Quatro Law. With 35 years of experience, she combines international legal expertise with a deep understanding of business realities to guide clients through complex, cross-border challenges.
Before co-founding Quatro Law, Luisa founded SOMOS The Law Firm, where she pioneered the model of external in-house counsel for multinational companies operating throughout Latin America—supporting operations exceeding $1 billion, advising on loan agreements totaling more than $700 million, and overseeing legal and labor compliance for more than 4,500 employees across the region. She also spent over 15 years in senior in-house roles at a Fortune 500 company, serving as Latin America General Counsel, Global Lead Counsel for Procurement and Supply Chain, and Vice President of Legal. Her career began in Colombia, where she trained as a corporate associate at leading law firms.
Luisa holds a law degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, an LL.M. in Common Law Studies from Georgetown University, and a Certification in Immigration Law from American University. She is licensed to practice in New York and Colombia and is certified by the Florida Bar as a Foreign Legal Consultant for Colombian law.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Luisa’s bicultural background and leadership style enable her to build proactive, collaborative, and business-oriented strategies. At Quatro, she is dedicated to turning legal complexity into clarity and opportunity for clients across jurisdictions. She leads the firm’s External Legal Department Services practice and serves as Managing Partner.
