Julieta Piedrafita

Julieta Piedrafita is an Argentine business lawyer with over 20 years of experience practicing law across Latin America. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading technology companies, negotiating complex business agreements, analyzing contractual and transactional structures and their associated risks, supporting finance, operations, and collections teams, and leading the legal department for Latin America.

For the past five years, Julieta has been part of SOMOS The Law Firm, providing services as External In-House Counsel for the firm’s clients. In this role, she supported companies entering and operating their businesses across Latin America, optimizing legal costs and streamlining operations, while providing high-touch legal support from a multicultural team that ensured clear communication and cultural understanding.

She earned her law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2004, obtained a Business and Economic Law Certification from Universidad Católica Argentina in 2006, and completed an LL.M. in International Business and Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., in 2009. She is a member of the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires.
